Shinobi Aruki (Concealed Walking) are collection of walking techniques used by the Ninja for silent movement, which is just one of the many aspects of training under Shinobi-Iri.
Every school / tradition of Ninjutsu have its own collection of stealth waking skills. Here at the Budo Ryu Kai, we tend to focus more on the stealth walking found in Tomo-ryu as well as Togakure-ryu as they are 2 of the 7 traditions within this organization. However, we also study from the ancient text outside of our traditions and historical documents such as the Bansenshukai, Ninpoiden and Shoninki give us great insight into the secret world of the ninja.

01 - Nuki Ashi (Stealthy Step)
02 - Suri Ashi (Rubbing Step)
03 - Shime Ashi (Tight Step)
04 - Tobi Ashi (Flying Step)
05 - Kata Ashi (One Step)
06 - O Ashi (Gaint Step)
07 - Ko Ashi (Little Step)
08 - Kizami Ashi (Small Step)
09 - Wari Ashi (Quick Step)

Above is the list of the 10 that are on the scroll of the shoninki, which is Kishu Ryu school of ninjutsu. Again, there are other schools of ninjutsu that have different stealth methods, such as yoko aruki, yoko bashiri, kitsune bashiri, and various other walking methods. However; even though different ryu may have different methods of walking within their school. These are the 10 most basic or kihon methods of stealth walking and is considered basic knowledge and should be mastered and taught by ALL schools of ninjutsu.
